A Great Weekend Drive

Went down to Olympia on Saturday and took my time with a great drive along Hood Canal and up into Olympic National Forest around the Dosewallips and Hamma-Hamma Recreational Areas, where there are some of my favorite trailheads for hikes into the Olympic Mountains (that’s another trip).

The 7 a.m. drive back this morning along the windy, empty Highway 101 that parallels the sunlit waters of Hood Canal to my right and the heavily forested Olympics to my left … first chance to really push the Tiguan, and it didn’t disappoint.
