Got out of St. George at 6:30, hit Starbucks and some fast food breakfast, and was at the park as it opened, which made the whole experience better. No crowds, beautiful silence for the first half of my morning. By mid-day the crowds were out, people were waiting in line to catch the shuttle at the Visitor Center, the sound of screaming children was in the air, and the light for photos was better.
Best whoa moment of the day for me was the half dozen California Condors orbiting over Big Bend once the sun was out and the air warmed up.
